The Friends of Nottingham Mental Health was established in 1999.  The group consists of a number of people from all walks of life who have come together to help people with mental health problems, those in recovery, carers, support agencies and services in Nottingham.  We also promote public awareness and understanding of mental health issues.

The Trustee's of the Charity meet on a bi-monthly basis.  Applications for funding are considered at these Committee meetings.

We help people with mental health problems to do the things they want to do and have the same opportunities as other citizens in Nottingham by providing financial help and assistance through a support worker.  Our focus is firmly on assisting people and groups living in the Nottingham area who are experiencing financial hardship.

We organise regular fundraising events such as: fashion shows, dinner events and bucket collections.  We also rely on subscriptions, donations and legacies from our members and supporters.  Please see our 'Upcoming Events' page for further information.

There are several ways in which you can help us continue to support mental health causes in Nottingham, such as:

  • Make a donation
  • Remember us your will
  • Organise a fundraising event or get involved with our fundraising events (please contact us if you wish to become involved).
  • Help with or assist with our activities by becoming a regular supporter

Please also see our 'Upcoming Events' page.

If you would like to make a donation or require further information on either leaving a legacy, becoming a supporter of the Friends, or require further information, please contact us.
